BACKGROUND OF THE COLLEGE To spread and promote female education the people of chitalmari, with all round help and co-operation from local public administration, took a landmark step to set up "Bangabandhu Mohila college” in 27th Aug, 1995. (enlisted in M.P.O on 01/03/1998 and Degree Affiliation on 11/05/2011). Mr. N.M Ziaul Alam the then U.N.O of Chitalmari, took the initiative and got spontaneous help and co-operation from local people irrespective of caste, religion and classes. Then Mr. Dewan Zakir Hossain, the then Deputy Commissioner, made the happy inauguration. Besides different N.U.O's rendered their help and co-operation. About 600 students study in the college. The college is run by a set of skilled and qualified teachers and others staff. All of them are careful and sincere about their respective duties. Besides their study, the students are taught discipline and morality. They also take part in co-curricular activities. The result of the college is excellent in the recent years.
