The Sohiuddin Degree College,Meherpur ( Then Meherpur Paura College) was Establised on 11-11-1994 by Then Municipality Chairman Md. Mutasim Billah and Council of Meherpur Paurashabha in a Civic gathering at Kalachand Memorial Hall.The College was shifted on 1995 in own campus and opened its door to students for class 11th same year.Which is 1km from Municipality and wel-linked the high way at north-western side of district town a Green premises.The first ever it was affiliated by Jessore Education Board in 1997 and got MPO in 1999.Later the college was recognised by Nationan University in 2004 for degree pass level and got MPO.Today this college provides the oportunites for knowedge and Tecnology based education among the students especilly living in rural areas.Now Its Chairman Farhad Hossain-MP.
