In spite of having so many socio-economic problems, some educationists and enlightened persons of the then dark area of Mirzagonj upzilla of Patuakhali district, felt an urge to establish a college to enlighten the people of the area just after the independence of Bangladesh. The name of this College is Subidkhali College. It is situated at the upzilla headquarter of Mirzagonj in the District of Patuakhali. This College was established in 1972 and got affiliation for intermediate course in 1980. In 1987 and in 2011 this institution got the affiliation of Degree and Honours’ course Dhaka and National University respectably. The founder of the College is Abdul Hamid Khan. Now the communication with other districts is very good as it is beside the highway of Barisal-Barguna and Patuakhali-khulna. We are proud of our College.
