The brief history of Dr. Eakub Sharif Degree college
Dr. Eakub Sharif Degree College was established in 1993 by the finance of professor. Dr. Eakub sharif the former professor of Sher-E-Bangla Medical college.
The college is located at Bagabandar at Bauphal Upazilla in the district of Patuakhali. It is standing on 6.35 acres of land by a big cannel that links with the river Lohalia. There is a 70 feet's wide bituminous carpeting road in the south of the college. With a two storied building there are six semi concrete houses in the college compound. There are seven different laboratories along with a computer lab. At present there are studying about one thousand and five hundred students in this college. There is a rich library with 8919 various kinds of books and journals.
The college was affiliated by the board in 30/01/1995 and by the National University in 15/03/1999. Since its origin the college has been acquiring reputation through the satisfactory results of the different public examinations. H.S.C BM and Degree pass final examinations are held in this college center.
The college is enriched with different types of attractive plants. The look-out of the college is extremely charming. The people of this locality are proud of this institution.
