The college was established 1994 with the concerted effort of the local elites. It got the approval of teaching HSC level in the academic year 1994-95 for the students of Humanities group, in the academic year 2003-04 for the students of Science group and in the academic year 2011-12 for the students of Business Studies. On the basic of approval of National University in the academic year 2006-07 the course of BSS has been started and in the academic year 2011-12 it got approval of teaching BA course. It was enlisted both as a HSC and Degree college having MPO facilities in April 1999 and in May 2010 respectively. At present this college consists of above 800 students.
