Gurdaspur Upazila is located in the heart of Chalanbil. There was no institution of higher education for women in this impassable movement. Considering the higher education of underprivileged women of Chalanbil, 'Roji Mozammel Mahila College' was established in 1994 at Gurdaspur town headquarters. Since its establishment, the college has been creating an awakening in women's higher education of Chalanbil. However, it was very difficult for the women of this region to go out for graduation (pass) and graduation (honours) as the college only offered study opportunities up to SSC. Considering that, degree pass in 2001 and graduate honors courses in 5 subjects were introduced in 2015.
