In 1979, this college was established as Nazipur Mahaviddalaya headed by Md. Moez Uddin. At first this college started its academic activities temporarily at Nazipur High School since it had no land of its own. Later a piece of land was purchased and a piece of land was donated by Mojir Uddin. In 1977 the college was transferred in its own building which was constructed with the help of DDB, Rajshahi. This institution was granted on 6 April, 1984, and gradually it was developed into Degree College. Being nationalized on 8 December, 1984. This college appeared as a Govt. educational institution from 1 January, 1985.
