Mr, Habibur Rahman who is a great son of Jalshuka under Dhunat Upazila in Bogra distict was born here. He is an honoarable Member of Parliament of Sherpur-Dhunat polls areas-40, Bogra-5 at present. The village Jalshuka was a bakword area almost an age ago.The people in this areas were deprived of education and also severely poverty strikened. For the freedom from poverty and educational development of the people in this areas Jalshuks Habibur Rahman College was established at the name of Habibur"s own in 1999. Now a days the people nearby areas are free form the curse of darkness and they are being enlightened by the light of people education.This institution got the permission of teaching at the Higher Secondery Education level in 1999 and at the level of Degree 2010. It got Academic acknowledgement in 2002. It also was involved in MPO order in 2004. At present the number of total student is 510 and the number of teachers and Employees is 47. It was a real dream of Habibur Rahman that this college would be turned into an ideal one like Abdul Mazid College Homna Comilla.In passage of time. The dream of the founder is on the way of implement. The survey of the last several years’ result in the stage of HSC shows that it is the best college in respect of outstanding result as usual.
