K.B.M. college, the largest and traditional nongovernment degree college, is situated at the southside of Dinajpur city. It has a wide area and compatible atmosphere for sound education. The activities of that time of the local elites and the general people with the leadership of late Mahamud Mokarram Hossain, the founder principal, for establishing this institution in 1965 has been appreciated in the history of spreading of education by all the classes of people. The district commissioner of that time A.K.M. Jakaria took the initiative and acquired the huge area of 15 acres of land for this institution. The college authority is very much indebted and always remember him with great respect for his magnificent job. Since 2009, Whip Mr. Iqbalur Rahim MP has been serving as the president of the governing body and is trying to his best for all kinds of education related development in this institution.
