| Brief Background of the College |
Hathazari College is recognized as one the best educational institutions in Northern Chittagong. The veteran historian Dr. Abdul Karim initiated to establish this institution with the help of some educated people and local donors in 1968 Though it started as a night college in the beginning it has turned into a University College at present. The college has got the infrastructure of 70,000 sft. with five multistory buildings. As far as the location and infrastructure are concerned, it has occupied a place in the list of the leading colleges of the country. Courses run by the college: The College runs the H.S.C course in Humanities, Business studies and Science groups along with Business Management course Under Bangladesh Technical Education Board. It also runs B.A/B.S.S/B.B.S and B.Sc. course National University. Particularly we have got tremendous envious record in B.Sc. result. The college secured the top ten positions in the B.Sc. Final Examination in 2000. The college has got a rich library which helps the students to fulfill their thirst of knowledge. The honors course started from the session 2010-2011 with three subjects namely Accounting, Management and Sociology. Recently, Economics has been added to the honors list.
