Uttar Rangunia college was established in 1983 following the terms and conditions set by Education Ministry. Uttar Rangunia under Rangunia Upazilla in Chittagong is situated remotest area which was once cut off from the rest of the country. Children’s after the completion S.S.C got no opportunity to study H.S.C Courses. Keeping this in mind the enlightened people of the locality took initiative and made their vision a success by setting up this college. Now it is one of the leading colleges at Rangunia. In 1987 thinking the need of the local students this institution was promoted to Degree College. Since the establishment, the college has been contributing to the development of the education in the locality.
