Madarganj A.H.Z Govt College is a government college which was established in 1968 by Dr. Aftabuddin Talukder, Shamsul Huda Talukder and Shmsuzzuha Talukder three sons of Ashek Mahmud Talukder (Founder of Ashek Mahmud Govt. College, Jamalpur). The surrounding area is flood and river erosion affected by Jamuna river. It has been creating a number of educated personnel since it's establishment. In 1987 it was nationalized. It is the first degree college of Madargonj Upozilla.
