The historic Shaheed Bhabani Prasad Saha Government College is situated in the Southern-Eastern part of Tangail District near capital city of Dhaka. It is in heart of Mirzapur up-zilla (Municipality), was established in 1970 by the zealouse people of the locality to spread the light of education among the masses. Later well- reputed kumudini welfare trust (established R.P Saha) contributed 2.83 acre. land will a vast complex that helps the institution to be well established soon. And from this institution hundreds and thousands learners got education and they are serving the country with greatreputation both in govt. and private sectors. The institution got approval for H.S.C on 1st july in 1971, later it get approval for degree pass course from D.U on 25th, Jan in 1975 and lastly it started hons. course on 3 subjects that is English, Accounting and social work on 26th Feb 2012. At present the number of student of this institution is 3269 and the result of all Exams is above 80%. It is enlisted in M.P.O in 1980. Teaching staff including other employees 68 people are working here with sincerity. This institution has been run well by a skilled and regular governing body.
