In 2009, under the inspiration of young student leader Mohammad Hasan Imam Khan Sohel Hazari, Shahid Shahed Hazari College was established in the name of his elder brother Shahidullah Khan Shahed Hazari in satihati village of Kalihati Upazila. As the pass rate is 100% here, the reputation of the college spread within a short period of time. The college has 2.13 acres of land at its present location. The college was granted MPO status on 1 July 2019 and gradually returned to its current status. The reputed college runs from higher secondary level to graduate pass courses (BA, BSc and BSS) degrees.
