The `` Tajuddin Ahmad Govt. college’’ is situated at Hailjore Village, Post Office: Rayed, Upa-zilla: Kapasia, District: Gazipur. The College was founded on April 04, 1987 as M.A Mannan College. After that in 1994 the name had been changed to Union College and got its affiliation with (03) three sections. In the session of 1999-2000 B.A & .B.com courses were added and included under National University at 12th March,2000. Again the name ``Union College`` had been changed to Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad Degree College after the name of the national figure``Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad`` who was the 1st prime minister of the then Muzibnagar Government as well as one of the greatest organisers of the liberation war of Bangladesh . The College has a group of apt and smart teachers and a perfect Governing body who are performing their duties successfully .There are more than twelve hundred(1200) students here .
