Habib Ullah College was established in 1994 in the heart of Sakhipur police station under Bhedarganj upazila of Shariatpur district. Former Member of Parliament Mr. Shafiqur Rahman Kiran established the college in the name of his father, the late Habib Ullah Chokder, with the aim of spreading education in the eastern part of Shariatpur. The college was inaugurated by the then Education Minister Barrister Jamir Uddin Sarkar and the academic building was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia in 1995. The college currently offers science, humanities and business education courses at the higher secondary level and BA Pass (Bengali, English, Islamic History and Culture and Islamic Studies), BSS Pass (Economics, Political Science and Social Work) at the degree level. The college continues to play an important role in spreading education in remote areas.
