Joypara College is a well known college situated at the heart of Dohar upazila. It was established in 1972 by late Ashraf Ali Chowdhury, former MNA and Governor of the then Dacca district. At first, it was a Higher Secondary institution. It was upgraded as Degree College in 1989. At present it has developed into Hon's College in the session 2012/2013. Hopefully, the institution would be enriched as it is the thought of local elites and people.
