R K Chowdhury College adjacent to Saidabad Janapath under Jatrabari Thana (formerly Demra thana) of Dhaka mega city was founded by a distinguished person interested in education of Jatrabari area Mr, Rezaul Karim Chowdhury ( R K Chowdhury) in the year 1990. The college got the affiliation of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka in the academic year 1993-94.Later it achieved the affiliation of Degree (pass) course in the academic year1994-95 and the affiliation of 3 Honours subjects- Accounting, Marketing and Management in the academic year 2009-10 under National University. 66 most experienced teachers have been teaching 22 subjects in HSC Level, 17 subjects in Degree level and 3 subjects in Honours level in this institution. At present the total number of students of this college is 1500. The college was enlisted for M P O in the year 1994.
